Peter Gulacsi Set to Return After Long Injury
Goalkeeper to Rejoin RB Leipzig Squad
After nearly a year of being on the sidelines, Peter Gulacsi, RB Leipzig's starting goalkeeper, is set to make his return to the squad.
Gulacsi last played in a professional match for Red Bull Salzburg before joining RB Leipzig in 2015. He was later loaned to Liverpool FC, where he made a few appearances before returning to Leipzig. In 2022, Gulacsi suffered a cruciate ligament rupture that kept him out of action for almost a year.
Gulacsi's return is a major boost for RB Leipzig, as the team has been struggling in his absence. The Hungarian international is expected to be available for selection for Saturday's match against Augsburg.
It remains to be seen when Gulacsi will be fully fit and ready to reclaim his starting spot, but his return to the squad is a positive sign for Leipzig.
